About The Relational Ledger
Fractional CFO & Controller Services | Bookkeeping | Payroll | Strategic Accounting for Small Business
The Relational Ledger is a modern accounting consultancy designed to meet the needs of small and mid-sized businesses across industries like manufacturing, restaurants, construction, and creative services. We specialize in fractional Controller and CFO services, full-service bookkeeping, and payroll management, helping business owners gain clarity, compliance, and confidence in their financial operations.
Based in Middle Tennessee and proudly serving the Nashville area and beyond, The Relational Ledger understands the unique challenges faced by regional businesses — from locally owned restaurants to multi-site manufacturers and fast-growing service firms.
Founded by Erick Clow, CPA, The Relational Ledger is built on over a decade of experience leading financial functions in high-growth, high-complexity environments — from managing project accounting for global creative manufacturers to overseeing multi-entity payrolls and general ledgers in the restaurant and entertainment industries. Erick brings deep expertise in GAAP accounting, cash flow forecasting, job costing, month-end close, payroll accounting, and financial systems implementation.
We work with business owners who want more than a bookkeeper and need more insight than a CPA delivers once a year. Whether you're building processes from scratch, recovering from disorganized books, or scaling into your next phase of growth, we offer relationship-first financial leadership — the kind that’s as invested in your business as you are.
